Up for sale, a 1990 Fender Stratocaster'62 vintage reissue model ST62-50 in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Crafted at the famed Fujigen factory, this early Fender Japan Stratocaster was designed for sale to the Japanese domestic market, uncommon outside its country of origin. Designed to pay homage to the golden era Pre-CBS Strat circa 1962, tonewoods include a basswood body, maple neck, and dark slab rosewood fretboard. The trio of original staggered alnico magnet ST-Vintage single coils deliver a sound that is biting and clear, with ample sparkle and bridge position snap.

This Strat weighs 7lbs 14oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation. The maple neck has a slender C-shaped profile carve with well-rounded shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring. 825 deep at the 1st fret and. The particularly dark, tight-grained slab rosewood fretboard has a vintage-spec 7 1/4 radius and retains the flawless stock slender fretwire. This guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2 scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1.650 (42mm) in width, hand-carved from bone for optimal sustain and note clarity. On the headstock, the Kluson-style tuners turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch.

The "Made in Japan" text and J-prefix serial are present above the Fender-embossed four-bolt neck plate. The neck heel and pocket retain the factory stamps, and the neck heel is pencil dated to November 17, 1990. All of the electronics function as intended, with the trio of ST-Vintage single coil pickups wired to the stock harness featuring untouched solder joints and full-size pots dating to July, 1990. The tremolo has a full-size block, actuating easily with a smooth response.

Cosmetic wear on the gloss Sunburst finish is limited to a handful of minor marks on the body perimeter and lower bout on top, and an area of faint buckle rash on the upper bout on the back. The smooth amberd gloss finish on the neck profile is pristine.
